To create the 9-1-1 Funding and Modernization Task Force. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. (A) The Ohio General Assembly finds that the funding for infrastructure and personnel of 9-1-1 systems in Ohio is disparate in meeting state and local needs. In response to these findings, there is hereby created the 9-1-1 Funding and Modernization Task Force to review current funding models and to research, analyze, and recommend to the General Assembly and the Governor appropriate future funding models and modernization policies to improve the effectiveness of infrastructure and personnel of 9-1-1 systems in Ohio. To enact section 3301.041 of the Revised Code to require the State Board of Education to broadcast board meetings on the internet. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That section 3301.041 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows: Sec. 3301.041. The state board of education shall broadcast live via the internet all regular and special meetings of the state board and all meetings of every committee and subcommittee of the state board. The state board shall provide access to the live video stream free of charge via the department of education's web site. To amend sections 315.02 and 315.14 of the Revised Code to remove the requirement that a county engineer be a registered surveyor in addition to being a registered professional engineer in order to hold or be eligible as a candidate for the office.
