Vote no on Senate Bill 3, a debt restructuring plan to pay Illinois' bills. Time to start cutting. - M. Gail Stotler said01/18/2011
Dear Senator,
Please check out Oakland County, Michigan. Executive L. Brooks Patterson has taken his county and their 4000 employees to a self insured (Federal ERISA) status for medical coverage - saving his county MILLIONS.
I want to know if Illinois has considered such a status? There are several more steps that even Oakland County can take to benefit the county and the workers even more - by benefitting their county hospitals and health care providers with 'retainer fees', so-to-speak, guaranteeing specific pricing for county employee medical costs.
In fact, every little business owner in the State of Illionis should look at this for their own employees. It is very simple to set up and will meet the government's requirements for insuring workers and MINIMIZES BUSINESS COSTS. - chad253 said01/04/2011
Dear Senator
I am writing to you in regard to a proposed amendment to the Workersâ Compensation Act that will negatively impact our membership. Under the guise of reform, the proposed changes would eliminate the legal right of our members to see their own doctor immediately following an injury. Additionally, the proposed changes to the fee schedule will reduce payments to medical providers which will inevitably limit our membershipsâ access to healthcare. These changes will drive quality doctors away from Workersâ Compensation claims leaving injured workers without adequate medical care. I ask you to vote against any changes to the Workersâ Compensation Act.
Please stand up for the rights of the working men and women of the state of Illinois by voting no for any change to the Workersâ Compensation Act.
Very truly yours,
Chad Toeniskoetter

Please Oppose Education Reform that hurts teacher's rights without the input of teachers themselves. It is un-democratic and most legislators are uninformed themselves. Teacher's rights are being under attack. - Doug said12/31/2010
Attracting more business and controlling costs for existing Illinois businesses Workmanâs Compensation rates sounds prudent. Creating a more attractive business climate that creates jobs â who would be opposed to reform? Stripping employees of the right to select the treating physician of their choice, not the company's, is not only fair but it is ethical. I have exerienced horrible outcomes with the existing law. Please don't make it worse. - JAMIE HATTEN -DENNIS said12/09/2010
