Cutting pension benefits that were already earned and promised is unfair and probably illegal. The State has already cut benefits for new employees and this was fair and not challenged by labor. Please do not waist time by endorsing unfair and illegal legislation that will attempt to reduce the problem caused by the state failing to fund their retirement system. Instead, support legislation to increase the funding that these funds should have been receiving all along!

I am writing to voice my opposition to HB1447. I respectfully encourage you to vote against this bill. This bill is unfair and unjust. I recently retired from the Ill State Police and for 26 years I put my life on the line to make Illinois a safe place. Myself and other retirees should not have to be subjected to this type of action from the people we voted into office. For 26 years I paid into the pension fund and I should not have to worry about the future of my pension not being there or reduced to balance a budget that we had no hand in creating this deficit. You and other House members should find a way to alleviate this problem with our budget without using our pensions.

Co-sponsor HB148. The data I compiled and the records from your office showed that ALL of your constituents supported HB148. But you still voted NO! you don't represent your constituents properly!!

I would like you to help propose that illinois enact "caylee's Law", there should be a new federal law created called Caylee's Law that will make it a federal offense for a parent or guardian to not notify law enforcement of a child going missing in a timely manner.

there is a petetion that has been signed by over 500,000 people in just 3 days and 4 state are already pursuing their own version of the law. let's show that Illinois cares about children too! The link is below to see the details of what i am talking about. thank you!
