Just another dumb as dirt Mississippi bitch. Probably a former Ole Miss cheerleader. I left this god-awful state in 1966, and I am proud to say that I have never returned.

Regarding House Bill 329. The fact that Representative Currie has proposed this bill demonstrates that she has not studied for an advanced degree nor has she taught at the college level. Tenure is not something that is just handed out to anyone, it must be earned through hard work, including teaching, research, service to the university and the discipline as well as published articles in per reviewed journals. Most Mississippi professors are teaching four classes, serving on numerous committees, conducting multiple research projects supported by grants they have received in addition to other leadership roles within departments and for this they earn $40,000-$60,000,higher if they are in certain disciplines, however, this is not a field where you get rich, it is a field where you make a difference educating our citzens. To take this away from professors who have worked hard to earn it is shameful and irresponsible. Mississippi is already losing its best professors to other states with higher pay and better benefits, are you looking to give the remaining professors a reason to leave? And no I am not a professor, I am a graduate student privileged to have studied under some great professors in Mississippi institutions of higher learning.
