CAPITO, Shelley Moore, (daughter of Arch Alfred Moore, Jr.), a Representative from West Virginia; born in Glendale, Marshall County, W.Va., November 26, 1953; graduated from Duke University, Durham, N.C., 1975; M.Ed., University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va., 1976; college counselor; member of the West Virginia state house of delegates, 1997-2001; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Seventh and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2001-present).
