Biography
Rep. Gayle Kingery, a Republican, represents part of Butler County (District 154) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to the House in November 2002. A retired educator, Rep. Kingery spent 3 years as a teacher and coach in Jackson, Mo., and 30 years as a teacher, coach and administrator in Poplar Bluff. He served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965, with a tour in Viet Nam from 1963 to 1964. Rep. Kingery is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff. A 1957 graduate of Poplar Bluff Senior High School, Rep. Kingery received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1966.
