Biography
Rep. Michael R. Brown, a Democrat, represents part of Jackson County (District 50) in the Missouri House of Representatives. Elected to the House in 2004, Rep. Brown is the owner and publisher of Ghettostone Publishing, an independent comic book company in Kansas City. In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Brown is a member of the UMKC Alumni Club and the Freedom Incorporated Political Club. Rep. Brown is also a member of the Missouri Real Estate Commission, the Jackson County Housing Resources Commission and the Task Force for Civil Rights of the Disabled. Rep. Brown attends the Cleveland Avenue Baptist Church in Kansas City. Throughout his career, Rep. Brown has been recognized as One of Kansas City’s Top 50 Connectors (1995) and mentioned in the Who’s Who International
