Biography
Rep. Mike Parson, a Republican, represents Polk and Cedar Counties (District 133) in the Missouri House of Representatives. Elected to the House in 2004, Rep. Parson is the former Polk County Sheriff. He served six years in the United States Army. Rep. Parson was born and raised on a farm in Hickory County. A 1973 graduate of Wheatland High School in Wheatland, Missouri, Rep. Parson attended the University of Maryland and the University of Hawaii. He owned and operated a gas and oil business, managed rental property, and had other business interests in the Bolivar area for many years. Currently he owns and manages a cow and calf operation near Bolivar. In addition to his legislative duties Rep.
