Juanita Head Walton - Missouri Representative

Rep. Juanita Head Walton, a Democrat, represents parts of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Spanish Lake, Black Jack and unincorporated areas of North St. Louis County (District 81) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She formerly served on the St. Louis School Board and is Democratic Committeewoman of the Ferguson Township of St. Louis County. When Rep. Walton was first elected, she served as the Director of the Grace Hill Women's Business Center. Rep. Walton has received the following awards throughout her career: the NFWL 2004 Policy Chair Award, Wetterau 2002 Award, and Lights on After School Award, Sentinel Newspaper, Who’s Who in Black St. Louis, Lincoln University Alumni and St. Louis Public Schools. She is the granddaughter of Willie Head, the first African American Mayor in the state of Missouri--Kinloch, Mo., 1948. A graduate of Kinloch High School, Rep. Walton received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Lincoln University, and a Master's Degree in Corporate Communications from Lindenwood College. She is married to Attorney Elbert Walton and they have two sons, Elbert III and Johnathan.
