Biography
Rep. Joe Aull, a Democrat, represents Saline and Lafayette Counties (District 26) in the Missouri House of Representatives. Elected to the House in 2004, Rep. Aull is a retired school administrator. During his 34-year career in education, he has served as a teacher, coach, middle school principal, high school principal and school superintendent. Most recently, Rep. Aull served as superintendent of the Lexington and Marshall School Districts. In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Aull is a past president of the Marshall and Lexington Rotary Clubs, and a member of the Butterfield Youth Services Board and the Marshall Education Foundation Board. Rep. Aull received the 2002 Pearce Award for Outstanding School Superintendents in the State of Missouri, the Distinguished Service Award from the Missouri Activities Administrators and was named the 1980 KMZU Radio Boys Basketball Coach of the Year. From 1999-2004 he served as a board member of the Missouri High School Activities Association where he served as president in 2002-2003. Rep. Aull also received the Chapter Farmer Degree from the F.F.A. He has also served as President of the Central District Superintendents and Secondary Principals Association. A 1966 graduate of Lexington High School in Lexington, Missouri, Rep. Aull received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Westminster College in 1970 and received a Masters in Education degree from Central Missouri State University in 1975. Rep. Aull also received his Education Specialist Certification from Central Missouri State University in 1987 and is currently working on his doctorate degree. Born on July 14, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, Rep. Aull lives in Marshall with his wife Candee. They have five children: Katy, Angel, Tony, Nick and the late William Thomas.
