Biography
Assembyman Charles Calderon was re-elected to the Assembly in 2006 to serve the 58th District. Calderon proudly represents the cities of Montebello, Pico Rivera, portions of City of Industry, Downey, La Mirada and Whittier. In addition, he also represents the communities of Hacienda Heights, Rowland Heights, South San Gabriel, South San Jose Hills, Valinda and portions of East Los Angeles. Calderon was first elected to the Assembly in 1982 where he served pre-term limits until being elected to the Senate in 1990. He was recently appointed as California Health care Commissioner and is a Partner with the Law Firm of Nossaman, Guthner, Knox, & Elliott LLP. In September of 1996, Charles Calderon made history.
