Biography
Assemblyman Greg Aghazarian, R-Stockton, was elected to the California State Legislature in 2002 to represent the 26th Assembly District, which includes the cities of Stockton, Turlock, Manteca, Modesto, Ceres, Patterson, Ripon and Escalon. Aghazarian currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Assembly Public Safety Committee, where has earned high marks as an effective advocate in defending California’s tough-on-crime public safety laws that are making a difference in keeping families safe in their communities. A strong champion fighting on behalf of crime victims and their families, he was honored for his leadership by Crime Victims United of California as their Legislator of the Year for 2007. Recently, he authored the landmark bipartisan prison reform legislation, Assembly Bill 900,
