Bill Summary for *HB1299

This bill requires each office of the county clerk to provide a clean and convenient facility on its premises to recycle motor vehicle registration plates. Any revenues from recycled registration plates would be used to defray the costs of the recycling facility.

This bill requires the department of revenue, with the cooperation and assistance of the department of general services, to solicit contracts for the furnishing and maintenance of motor vehicle registration plate recycling facilities through a public advertisement and competitive bid process.
