Schedule III narcotic controlled substance prescriptions shall be limited to a 120 hour supply without refill. Certified registered nurse anesthetists do not have this authority. The act further renames the Department of Insurance to the DIFP, and directs the Revisor of Statutes to change all statutory references to the department to DIFP. The act also removes all references of the divisions of finance, credit unions and professional registration as being "within the Department of Economic Development" and instead states that such divisions are within the DIFP. The act moves sections regarding the division of professional registration from Chapter 620 (Department of Economic Development) to Chapter 324 (Occupations and Professions General Provisions), and changes references in those sections to accurately reflect the statutory modifications. The board shall consist of nine members, including four general bail bond agents, two bail bond agent, one law enforcement officer, one circuit court clerk, and one public member. All oversight of bail bond and surety recovery agents currently handled by the director of the department of insurance is transferred to the board. There shall be a ten dollar fee, paid by the defendant, on any bond written by a licensed agent in this state. Five dollars of such fee shall be deposited into the newly created "Professional Bail Bonds Board Fund", in order to pay the expenses incurred by the board to fulfill its duties.
