Fiscal Summary for *SB2989 / HB4160 MINIMAL Bill Summary for *SB2989 / HB4160 This bill authorizes employers to apply for exemption from the Workers' Compensation Act with respect to employees who provide a written waiver and an affidavit indicating that the employee is a member of a recognized religious sect that is conscientiously opposed to the acceptance of the benefits of public or private insurance. In the case of an employee who is a minor, this bill authorizes the minor's guardian to make the affidavit and waiver.
