SCR1 - Iowa
- Vernie said12/29/2009
Has anyone read the 10th Amendment?? Obamaha, so I have read, is backed by the Rothchild bunch. Also people, do some checking on "VOTE SCAM"! Computers can be programed and the voteing ones have been. Nobody has to do anything the Federal Government does or "Trys" to make US do. - Dick VH said07/30/2009
It looks as though several states have the guts to do something. We need to have the majority of states on board and then the message will be strong. It is the fed that is rebelious, going against our constitution; not the majority of people. I wish that the Iowa legislature had some backbone. - Joe K. said07/24/2009
These resolutions are nothing but hyperbole. The only way is to pass an amendment at the state level and then tell the Fed to stick it! Folks, we are the verge of a meltdown of our republic. If you think Obama is the trouble....he is just a stooge doing the bidding of the central bankers who are behind all this madness. We can no longer write our representatives and expect change. It has to come from our respective states and if they will not support us, throw them out, elect new reps and put new safeguards in place to protect our liberty!

Oh yea, congress.org is also a very good site to let government know what you think. - Grace D said06/11/2009
SCR1 is supported by the citizens of Iowa but does not have the support of the ELECTED officials? Wait, don't they work for the Iowans who ELECTED them? Something is wrong with this picture folks. If they aren't doing the JOB we as Iowans elected them to do, guess they need fired. Or, if they are working for themselves, maybe they should just work for free because they are not working for the people. Let's send a BIG message to the people we have elected by attending a tea party on july 4th - go to teapartyday.com for information. - kipwats1 said05/31/2009
I love lori lee's comments, They explain everything that is wrong in this country. As a citizen of Iiwa i wish she gaave us the name of her sate senator. Let me see if I got this right. the senator says it the bill is enthusiastically supported by the citizens but does not have enouth support in the legislature so he cannot support the bill at this time.
now there iis a man of courage of convictions, a man of real backbone, a man who should be removed from offfice as soon as possible

It would be great to see Iowa stand up and put this one through. There are other things that Iowa needs to stand up against, too, like same-sex marriage. I would like to know what our chances are of actually being able to vote on it. Don't we even get a say in this? Since when did judges get the power to make new laws? Isn't that a tad bit unconstitutional? - David M said05/13/2009
The federal government is a beast gone mad with lust for power, control and money. The tenth amendment was put in by the founding fathers to keep the federal beast at bay and a protection of the states individuality and right to govern there own affairs. The tenth amendment of the US constitution is a matter fact and record, what remains to be determined is if the state government has the 'backbone' to stand up to the federal beast or be a group of spineless yes men. Passing a resolution claiming as fact what already exists is merely a formal message to the federal goverment that the state is fed up with the fed. Changes nothing. So pass the amendment, send a message, be heard, or be quiet and follow chairman obama comrade reed and pelosi and be a good obedient taxpaying comrade er citizen / whatever. - ROH said04/14/2009
My legislator is in favor but says it will not come up for vote this session. The federal government is out of control and needs to be put back in its place. - jas said04/12/2009
please pass this bill. our whole way of life depends on it.nkjwn - Steven Lamer said03/15/2009
Please pass this bill our freedoms depend on it, The federal government is out of control and needs to be put back into place. - hg99z said03/06/2009
The problem is the last three generations, due to no or wrongful education regarding our founding documents, believe these resolutions to be secession. A RESOLUTION INVOKING RESTORATION OF THE 10TH AMMENDMENT RIGHTS OF THE STATES and the People is NOT SECESSION. If we want our nation back it is incumbent that the few who have read and understand the Constitution educate our representatives. It will be an uphill battle. Iowans still pledge allegiance to the REPUBLIC never asking why D.C. has referred to our form of government as a "democracy" for the past twenty plus years.
If the Senator understood what was at stake he would think differently. Tell your senator to research AGENDA 21 and check out the Wild lands section where he will see Iowa territory will be forfeited into a UN managed region. The states will be merged into regions. The capital of the Iowa will become Kansas City. There will no longer be personal property rights and more than half of this nation will be off limits to humans. Governors and Legislators willl become obsolete. EDUCATION IS THE KEY to passing this bill. EDUCATION is the key to saving our cities and counties already slipping into the abyse with "sustainable development programs". - Lori Lee said03/03/2009
I contacted my district senator and representative yesterday urging their support. The senator emailed back stating that he was not aware of SCR1. He emailed back today and said that after researching "the issue" he would not be able to support it at this time. The representative said there is overwhelming enthusiasm from citizens but felt that the house bill supporting state sovereignty probably would not have the votes it needs in the house to pass. He voiced his frustration.
