SB2911 - Tennessee
Children's Services, Dept. Of |
- annonymous said07/06/2008
This is horrible. Who will make the determination of what is in the child's best interests? The DCS already runs amok in taking children from families. You want to empower the state to intervene even more? This may be will intentioned, but is poorly decided. Never did the framers of our constitution ever contemplate that a state agency would be authorized to engage in social engineering iby taking children from parents in the name of "best interests ". We all want what is best for children. It is often best that their parents be taught how to parent. How about a bill for that? Your bill is judgmental and self-righteous on its face. There is no way in heaven to check the havoc that is about to come from DCS in the name of "best interests of the children". Shame on you. I may be among the first to challenge the constitutionality of this overbroad and unenforcable bill.
