As a parent of a child who is suffering mental illness, I definitely support this bill. My son has been battling mental illness for 2 years and has refused treatment. This refusal of treatment has resulted in an in-hospitalization. He has been there for 3 weeks now and is still not ready to come home. His illness affects his ability to make good decisions on his medication. I feel like this bill would force him to comply and take his medication which he definitely needs.
