Any attempt to prohibit price gouging by gasoline companies in this case, does not address the underlying issue - that of the market speculators who have bought and sold, thus driving the market to this point. These are the ones who need to be reined in. True, big oil and gasoline companies are making windfall profits, and should be taxed accordingly and unable to pass that tax on to the consumer...but the Speculators, they deserve an old fashioned tarring and feathering for throwing their fellow Americans into an economic pit for the sake of their own pockets. Whatever happened to the concept of "for the greater good"?
