    Upon first hearing of the bill, it seemed reasonable to require a background check. But, the distrubing part of this bill is the language "Grants the Attorney General authority...without a showing of reasonable cause or a warrant". This is contrary to the rule of law that protects all American citizens. Law enforcement must have Probable Cause and a Warrant signed by a judge; otherwise, it is an illegal search. For this reason, I oppose this bill.

    This bill indicates that criminals buy guns at gun shows and flee markets. Wrong, they get them on the black market. This bill just hurts the good people.
