H.RES.1488 - Federal Government

The House Committee on Rules reported an original measure, H. Rept. 110-875, by Mr. McGovern.

It shall be in order to take from the Speaker's table the bill H.R. 2638, with the Senate amendment thereto and to move to agree to the Senate amendment with an amendment printed in the report of the Committee on Rules accompanying this resolution.

Placed on the House Calendar, Calendar No. 270.

By the direction of the Committee on Rules, Mr. McGovern called up H. Res. 1488 and asked for its immediate consideration.

Mr. Flake proposed a point of order against the provisions of H. Res. 1488 by stating the resolution violates the Congressional Budget Act. The Chair announced the disposition of the point of order would be resolved by the question of consideration of H. Res. 1488. The House proceeded with ten minutes of debate on the point of order at the end of which the Chair will put the question on consideration.

Mr. McGovern moved that the House now consider the resolution.
