Tuition reimbursements from the employers of registered nurses often require lengthy time commitments to that employer after the education has been completed, making it unlikely that a nurse can venture into the faculty career for which she has sought her degree. This bill would help defray those costs and enable Masters prepared nurses to begin teaching as soon as they graduate. Nursing faculty are needed right now to prepare future nurses to take over the job of keeping America healthy when older nurses retire.
