Marijuana is safer than tobacco and alchohol and they are both legal. Marijuana should have been legalizend a long time ago. The time is now to make it legal. LEGALIZE MARIJUANA

Speaking strictly from a fiscal standpoint, we are squandering vast amounts of American treasure in criminalizing Marijuana use as apposed to using the money for education, national debt reduction, scientific endeavors and many other more valuable uses of America's wealth and resources. Additionally, hemp and other cannabis byproducts are quite environmentally begnin and in most cases, are superior to the products they replace. It is time for our politicians to have paradigm shift regarding Marijuana. - RevRayGreen said04/27/2008
Please recognize the need to reschedule, relegalize and end incrceration.
In regards to medical marijuana patients, like Gov. Bill Richardson said, "It's the right thing to do" when signing New Mexico's medical marijuana bill into law. Support H.R. 5842 also, the "Medical Marijuana Patient Protection Act. - annonymous said04/27/2008
I'm baffled we are still introducing bills for this. Marijuana should be decriminalized. It's doing nothing but wasting resources to jail people for petty stuff like this. This is 2008 people. We have an energy shortage with peak oil and an Iraq war. There are more important things to budget and pour resources into than a guy who wants to smoke a joint in his house after work. Marijuana isnt going to make you go on a crazed murder spree,it's not going to make you start rioting and lose your mind or any of that. Get with the times and pass this bill to end this nonsense.
