There is no question that Los Angeles is in need of more transportation solutions.
I am concerned though, that the 30-year sunset clause is too long. To alter any project or to portion of the bill is going to be difficult. In a few years, one of these projects may not pan out; or any other reason that it may require a change.
I don't think anyone will disagree with the need. Its taking additional funds in the form of another tax that is unpopular. Couldn't there be a 1/2 cent cut in spending that makes the difference instead? Transportation is an area where there are so many boondoggles repeatedly taking advantage of the taxpayers. Isn't there another way to do this?
