Sounds like PTI used in superior courts. Nice initiative for those who want to erase criminal record from background check.

We all do mistakes >> Doesn't mean we should be vindicated for first time offences.
    Give everyone a chance. :)

People don't realize consequences of the offence they are committing first time. This bill will give them an opportunity to review their conduct and help correct it.

Conditional intervention would certainly give an opportunity to correct yourself, which I think is a good idea.

There is no intervention for misdemeanors, disorderly persons offences while for felonies we have PTI. Doesn't that sound illogical.

This is garbage. We already have an intervention for 1st time offenders. They are called misdemeanors, Petty Disorderly Persons and Disorderly Persons offenses.

If you think the penalties are too harsh then change the law........not create ANOTHER beaurocracy of idiots just to lighten the load on the system.

This fixing a wrong with another wrong............fix the problem instead.
