ARTICLE 1 CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT

Proposing an amendment to the Minnesota constitution, article IV, section 12 and
VI, sections, 1, 7 and 8 to eliminate judicial elections; providing for initial
appointment of judges by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate;
establishing reappointment procedures

ARTICLE 2 CONFORMING STATUTORY AMENDMENTS

Modifying judicial vacancy determination provisions; providing for senate
conformation or rejection of judicial appointments; specifying terms of judges;
expanding and modifying the duties of the commission on judicial selection;
establishing a senate committee on judicial confirmation, specifying powers and
duties; repealing provisions relating to judicial elections
