A bill to amend section 411h of title 37, United States Code, to provide travel and transportation allowances for family members of members of the uniformed services with serious inpatient psychiatric conditions. 3/4/2008--Introduced.
Authorizes the provision by the Secretary of the military department concerned of a travel and transportation allowance for up to three family members of a member of the Armed Forces who is hospitalized in a military medical facility in the United States for a serious psychiatric condition, as long as such transportation is provided pursuant to travel orders issued upon the recommendation of a physician that the family's presence would be helpful and beneficial to the member's treatment and recovery.
