SB181 - Kentucky: Capital Construction, Corporations, Military Affairs and Civil Defense, Public Buildings and Grounds, State Agencies, Veterans' Affairs

Amend KRS 18A.150 to establish a state hiring preference honoring military service; require that certain individuals receive an additional five or ten preference points on an examination score used for state hiring in classified positions; permit the total of the examination score and the preference points to exceed 100; require that a register certificate identify all individuals entitled to a job interview by an employing state agency based on military service; require an employing state agency to offer a job interview to all individuals so identified; create new sections of KRS Chapter 45A to give preference to Kentucky small businesses with veteran proprietorship in government contracts over the small purchase limit; require government contracts over $500,000 to utilize Kentucky small businesses with veteran proprietorship for at least 20% of their contract price or face 5% contract price penalty; require the Finance and Administration Cabinet to report utilization of Kentucky small [...]
