HUMANE&CRIM-ANIMAL FIGHTING Amends the Humane Care for Animals Act. In provisions prohibiting animal fighting, other than fighting where the only animals involved are dogs, and fighting between an animal and a human, increases certain criminal penalties. Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. In provisions prohibiting dog fighting, increases certain criminal penalties. Effective immediately. House Amendment No. 1 Provides that a person who patronizes an animal or dog fighting exhibition, for a first offense, is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor and must complete 20 hours of community service. Provides that a second or subsequent violation is a Class 4 felony. House Amendment No. 2 In the amendatory changes to the Humane Care for Animals Act, provides that a person must knowingly attend a show involving a fight between 2 or more animals, an animal and human, or the intentional killing of an animal for the purposes of sport, wagering, or entertainment [...]
