CNTY CD-INOPERABLE VEHICLES
Amends the Counties Code. Provides that the definition of "inoperable vehicle" includes any motor vehicle that does not have a current license plate or current license tags attached to it if a current license plate or license tags are otherwise required under the Illinois Vehicle Code. Effective immediately.
Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Counties Code. Reinserts the substantive provisions of the introduced bill, and provides that those provisions apply in a non-home rule county with a population of more than 250,000. Effective immediately.
Senate Committee Amendment No. 2 Provides that, in a county with a population of more than 500,000 (instead of 250,000), the definition of "inoperable motor vehicle" includes a motor vehicle that does not have a current license plate or current license tags.
