Companion Bill SB3155. Workers' Compensation - Allows a permanently totally disabled employee to relinquish the right to future medical benefits in a settlement under certain circumstances. - Amends TCA Title 50, Chapter 6, Part 2. Fiscal Summary for HB3711 / *SB3155Other Fiscal Impact - Authorizing lump-sum settlements in certain cases will result in an increase in state expenditures estimated to exceed $100,000 in the first year. However, expenditures by the state will decrease in subsequent years. Over the long-term it is estimated that the total amount paid by the state for such claims as a result of this bill will result in an overall decrease in state expenditures.
