Companion Bill HB3723. Municipal Government - Grants municipalities an additional year to meet the requirement of employing a certified municipal finance officer; authorizes a municipality with $100,000 or less in gross revenues for all funds, including utilities but excluding one time non-recurring grants, and with debt totaling $100,000 or less in the immediately preceding fiscal year to employ an individual who has earned at least 24 hours of continuing education units of financial education for the calendar year instead of employing a certified municipal finance officer (CMFO) or contracting with a CMFO or a qualified individual who is exempt from CMFO certification for financial oversight. - Amends TCA Title 6, Chapter 56, Part 4.
