Fiscal Summary for SB3967 / *HB3792MINIMAL Bill Summary for SB3967 / *HB3792 Present law requires every person who holds property that is presumed abandoned and subject to custody as unclaimed property to notify the state treasurer. Not more than 120 days or less than 60 days before filing the report with the treasurer, the holder is required to send written notice to the apparent owner, informing such person that the holder is in possession of the property, if the holder has an address for the apparent owner which the holder's records do not disclose to be inaccurate and the property has a value of $50.00 or more.
