Companion Bill HB4198. Mining and Quarrying - Enacts the "Tennessee Non-Coal Surface Mining Law." - Amends TCA Title 59, Chapter 8, Part 2. Fiscal Summary for SB4198 / *HB4198 Increase State Revenue - Not Significant Increase State Expenditures - Not Significant Bill Summary for SB4198 / *HB4198 This bill revises various portions of the Tennessee Mineral Surface Mining Law of 1972, as follows: (1) This bill renames the Act to be the "Tennessee Non-Coal Surface Mining Law." (2) This bill expands the application of the Act to include any solid material or substance of commercial value found in natural deposits on or in the earth, except for coal or borrow.
