Companion Bill SB4071. Education - Creates a pilot program to make laptops available to juniors and seniors attending high school who are also enrolled in college courses at eligible postsecondary institutions. - Amends TCA Title 49. Fiscal Summary for *HB4029 / SB4071Increase State Expenditures - $197,600/One-Time Bill Summary for *HB4029 / SB4071 This bill creates a pilot program to make laptop computers available to high school juniors and seniors who are also enrolled in college courses at eligible postsecondary institutions. The program would occur no later than August 1, 2008, and would last 12 months. The department of education would administer the pilot program.
