Bill Summary for *HB3924 / SB4007

This bill authorizes the following driver education course providers to provide a four- or eight-hour mandated driver training course approved by the department of safety:

(1) Driver education courses offered for Class D vehicles by a public school;
(2) A public institution of higher learning;
(3) A commercial driver training school; and
(4) Persons approved by the department of safety to operate a driver education or improvement course, which persons may be required to attend as part of the penalty for violating the traffic laws.
