Companion Bill SB2542. Codes - Requires housing designated for persons age 55 or older to meet certain requirements in counties and cities that have adopted building codes. - Amends TCA Title 5, Chapter 20 and Title 6, Chapter 54. Fiscal Summary for HB3853 / *SB2542 Increase Local Revenue - Exceeds $50,000 Increase Local Expenditures* - Exceeds $603,000 Bill Summary for HB3853 / *SB2542 This bill requires that any developments proposed with a concept plan for persons aged 55 years or more include certain amenities in 25 percent of private dwellings and 100 percent of rental dwelling units.
