Companion Bill HB3867. Fire Prevention and Investigation - Authorizes county mayor to appoint a fire marshal; if a county fire marshal is employed, the mayor must set the compensation within the amount appropriated for such purpose by the county legislative body; requires any county fire marshal to have at least five years experience as a firefighter, be certified by the state fire marshal as a fire safety or building inspector, and serve at the pleasure of the county mayor. - Amends TCA Title 5, Chapter 6 and Title 68, Chapter 102.
