SCH CD-GIFTED/TWICE EXCEPTIONL Amends the School Code. Requires the State Board of Education to compile information on (i) how to educate teachers and other providers about the unique needs of gifted and twice-exceptional children, (ii) how to train teachers in research-based methods for identifying and teaching gifted and twice-exceptional children, and (iii) research-based guidelines for unique programming for twice-exceptional children. Requires the State Board to provide this information to each school district. House Amendment No. 1 Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the School Code. Requires the State Advisory Council on the Education of Children with Disabilities and the Advisory Council on the Education of Gifted and Talented Children to research and discuss best practices for addressing the needs of "twice-exceptional" children, those who are gifted and talented and have a disability.
