Companion Bill SB2554. Expenditures - Not Significant/Permissive Bill Summary for HB3418 / *SB2554 This bill authorizes LEAs to refuse to enroll or continue enrollment of a student who is 18 years of age or older and who is a known gang member. If an adult student who is enrolled or seeking enrollment is alleged to be a gang member and the LEA seeks to refuse enrollment or expel the student, then, unless the student admits to gang membership, this bill would require the LEA to request the assistance of local law enforcement [...]
