H.RES.1178: Expressing the sympathy of the House of Representatives to the citizens of Suffolk, Brunswick, and Colonial Heights, Virginia, over the devastating tornadoes of April 28, 2008.

Expresses: (1) sympathy to the citizens of Suffolk, Brunswick, and Colonial Heights, Virginia, over the devastation caused by the tornadoes that struck the communities on April 28, 2008; (2) appreciation to first responders, hospital personnel, local officials, and others involved in the relief effort; and (3) support as those citizens continue efforts to rebuild their communities and lives.

Recognizes the numerous individuals and entities that gave selflessly to aid in the disaster relief efforts.
