SB 1016 - This act dissolves the Legal Services for Low-Income Person Fund and provides that the portion of money that was being transferred into such fund from the Tort Victims' Compensation Fund, in addition to any money remaining in the Legal Services for Low-Income Person Fund, shall now be transferred to the Basic Civil Legal Services Fund. Such funds shall continue to be distributed to qualifying state legal service organizations that provide legal services to eligible low-income persons. This act is identical to HB 1621 (2008).
