Companion Bill HB3512. Motor Vehicles - Imposes additional fine of $25.00 to be deposited in the brain injury fund by drivers who engage in drag racing. - Amends TCA Title 68, Chapter 55, Part 3. Fiscal Summary for *SB3810 / HB3512Increase State Revenue - $1,900 / Traumatic Brain Injury Fund Bill Summary for *SB3810 / HB3512 Present law classifies the criminal offense "drag racing" as a Class B misdemeanor, although the criminal classification of the offense may be enhanced if the violation results in serious bodily injury to another person. The penalty for a Class B misdemeanor is a fine of up to $500 and imprisonment for up to six months.
