This bill authorizes municipalities that qualify as a premiere type tourist resort for purposes of local sales tax distributions to regulate and prohibit the use of wheel immobilizers to disable vehicles.

ON MARCH 20, 2008, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 3487, AS AMENDED.

AMENDMENT #1 rewrites this bill to authorize all municipalities to regulate, but not prohibit, the commercial use of wheel immobilizers.
