Fiscal Summary for *HB3187 / SB3579Other Fiscal Impact - Decreases the expenditures of lottery proceeds earmarked for scholarships and grants by $8,109,200 in FY08-09 and by $8,726,500 in FY09-10. Bill Summary for *HB3187 / SB3579 Under present law, a HOPE scholarship recipient is eligible for an additional award, known as the "ASPIRE" award, if the student has an adjusted gross income attributable to the student that does not exceed $36,000. The amount of the award for an academic year is set each year in the general appropriations act. Presently, the award is $1,500.
