Companion Bill SB3728. Law Enforcement - Prohibits the surreptitious observation by law enforcement officials and agents of individuals buying small quantities of tobacco, alcoholic beverages, or goods outside the state's borders. - Amends TCA Title 57 and Title 67. Fiscal Summary for *HB3018 / SB3728Decrease State Revenue - $200,000 Decrease Local Revenue - $100,000 Bill Summary for *HB3018 / SB3728 This bill prohibits the surreptitious observation of individuals who are crossing the borders of Tennessee to purchase alcoholic beverages, tangible goods, or tobacco products as a means of enforcing the state's tax laws when the underlying offense is a Class C misdemeanor.
