Firefighters - Requires certain procedures for privatizing fire and related services. - Fiscal Summary for *HB3159 / SB3457 Increase Local Expenditures - Exceeds $100,000/Permissive Bill Summary for *HB3159 / SB3457
Under this bill, a majority vote of the affected political subdivision would be required in order to privatize fire protection services and emergency medical services.
This bill would not affect current contracts with private companies that are in existence on the date that this bill becomes a law.
