Companion Bill SB3380. Fees - Specifies that court may assess fees for continuance of court case to one or more parties, if multiple litigants request a continuance. - Amends TCA Section 8-21-401. Fiscal Summary for *HB3199 / SB3380MINIMAL Bill Summary for *HB3199 / SB3380 Present law requires a court clerk to charge a fee of $5.00 for each requested continuance in any court. The clerk must also charge a $2.00 courtroom security enhancement fee to be used for providing and enhancing the security of court facilities in the county. The fees for continuances are taxed at the judge's discretion and collected at the conclusion of the case. If multiple litigants request a continuance, the judge may assess these fees to one or more parties.
