Bill Summary for *HB2939 / SB3300
This bill establishes a rural poverty center within Tennessee Technological University's college of education. The purpose of the rural poverty center would be to research and develop potential solutions for improving the economic well being of rural areas in the state. This bill would require Tennessee Technological University and the rural poverty center to jointly submit an annual report regarding the center's activities and accomplishments to the governor and each member of the general assembly.
