This bill requires wastewater treatment authorities to utilize competitive bidding or competitive proposals prior to making a purchase, lease, or lease purchase. This requirement applies only if the purchase, lease, or lease purchase exceeds the amount established in the County Purchasing Law of 1983, which is $10,000.

This bill requires water and waste water treatment authorities to follow the procedure for competitive bidding in accordance with the county purchasing law of the county in which the authority is located.
